Can CSS_EDITOR break my site?
Editing is preview-only until you hit Save, undo goes 100 steps back per file, and every save creates .orig and .bak snapshots on your server. If anything goes wrong, restoring the previous file is one click. The editor never loads for your visitors - they see your site exactly as you made it.
Does it slow down my site?
No. The editor is a tool you open as the site administrator. Your visitors see the site exactly as you made it: the CSS served is the same file your theme already served, and no JavaScript is added for them.
What happens when the free trial ends?
After 1 hour, editing locks politely. Everything you saved stays applied on your site forever - we never remove your styles. Enter a license key anytime to unlock editing again, exactly where you left it.
Does the Shopify app modify my theme files?
No. The Shopify app is installed via OAuth and stores your CSS in shop metafields, rendered server-side. Zero theme file is modified, and uninstalling is clean.
Am I locked in? Can I export my CSS?
No lock-in. CSS_EDITOR is a one-time purchase, and the Export function (copy to clipboard or .css download) is always available, even in read-only mode. Your CSS is plain CSS in plain files.
Which versions of PrestaShop and WordPress are supported?
The PrestaShop module supports 1.7 to 8.x and writes the theme CSS file with backups. The WordPress plugin writes the active theme CSS with backups. Both are built for you on the spot from this site.
Do I need to pay for an AI API to use the AI features?
No. Prompt mode builds a complete prompt you paste into the AI you already use (ChatGPT, Claude, Kimi, a local model...), and applies the answer with preview and undo. The dead CSS analyzer works the same way for its optional AI cross-check. No paid API key is required anywhere.
What does the license include?

Do you offer refunds?

What if I change my domain name?
License keys bind to your domains automatically on first use and are not released automatically. If you change domain or rebuild your site, contact support and we reassign your license manually.
Can CSS_EDITOR be embedded in my own application?
Yes - the core is vanilla JS with a documented adapter contract, made to be embedded (it also runs inside our own UI Optimizer panel). The Agency plan covers embedding in your SaaS or client apps.
